Client: McCarthy Building Companies (Casino Del Sol Melvin Presentation)*

Project: Melvin Slideshow flash elements and graphics

Description: So, I had connections with this one…my hubby works for McCarthy.  Their Casino Del Sol Hotel project was nominated for the Southwest Division’s best project…so they wanted a slideshow that would showcase their work. This was a huge project and they did an impeccable job.  The best part?  They won!  I would like to say it’s because of my slideshow, but I’m pretty sure it’s because they worked their butts off for two years to get this project done.  It’s a really great and stylish hotel…so I created the graphics to go with it.

In the Details:  My favorite part of the slideshow was the title pages.  Every time a new topic came up, this flash image would appear and it looked like a slot machine…very cool.  You can see each icon that I designed above.

I also loved the aerial view of the hotel, and I highlighted each section of the hotel for each slide.  It was super impressive!

Client: Sweet Little Things, Bakery

Project: Logo design

Description: Carol from Sweet Little Things found me through Auntie Bea’s Bakery.  Auntie Bea’s found me through Sugarbelle…and that’s how I have so many baking logos in my portfolio…stay tuned for more!  lol.  Anywho…Carol is an up and coming cookier and baker and she was fabulous to work with.  She knew exactly what she wanted and we got this logo out in two drafts…and it turned out whimsical and lovely!In the Details:  The motion of the cupcake is my favorite part.  Carol loved the hearts added to “Bakery”…it’s just a nice, simple way to dress up a logo. Client: Ali Bee’s Bakeshop, a cookie and baking blog

Project: Logo and Blogger blog design

Description: I was already a fan of Ali on Facebook (I heard about her through Sugarbelle), so when she contacted me about designing her logo and blog… ecstatic might be an understatement of what I felt.  She is so talented and artistic. She wanted something that had a vintage feel, but had touches of modern elements.  It was a challenge because I don’t usually do vintage…but I’ve been working on new techniques mixing drawing by hand and with illustrator and I love the way the blog flowers and the logo lace looks.

In the Details:  I love the sunflower pictures she posted because they work perfectly with her new design!  When you work for an artist, the pressure bumps up a notch…but she was so easy to work with and we were able to come up with a classic and pretty design that she loves.  She posted her new design on facebook and I was excited to see such a great response!

Client: Strawberry Mommycakes, A blog for moms

Project: Logo and WordPress Website, using the Thesis Framework

Description: So, this design was for myself…and I’m kind of a pain to design for.  I only went through a million drafts because it’s a designer’s curse…you know exactly what other people want, but you can’t decide what you really want.  After much debate, I came up with the banner idea for the menu bar, and it was a breeze from there.  I really love the way it turned out.  So, I had the design for forever, I just needed the people to help me with posting.  Luckily, I have some really great, talented friends that are helping me out.  It’s gotten really great response so far and I’m excited for where it’s headed!

In the Details:  I take great pride in the appearance of this blog.  Not only did I design and customize the theme, I create graphics for each post.  Go ahead and peruse through the site and you can see what I’m talking about. I also design invitations and announcements for my etsy store, have free printables and will soon be selling party printables! It’s a lot of work, but I love it.

Client: Cantaloupe Corner, Screen Printed T-shirts

Project: Logo and Blogger blog design

Description: I was so excited when Jen contacted me to create her logo.  Jen and I went to college together.  We lived in the same dorm and were in choir together.  She is such a great person and she is SO talented!  Seriously, this girl can sing, design, create…whatever!  She has a unique t-shirt dyeing technique that doesn’t have harmful chemicals and her designs are great.  Check out her site!  Anywho…she wanted a design that was fun (she mostly designs children’s shirts) and clean.  I definitely wanted to incorporate a cantaloupe, but in an artistic and interesting way.

In the Details:  I actually included the “cantaloupe flowers” in one of the logo concepts, and I still loved them, so I added them to parts of the blog design.  I also love the zebra/dotted pattern…it added a little more “zing.” Like I’ve said before, I love white backgrounds because they really bring out the images in each post!

Client: Auntie Bea’s Bakery

Project: Logo, print and web design

Description: My client wanted a simple logo that had her current logo color scheme.  She needed it to have a bee and wanted a cookie in it…so I made the bee into a cookie

In the Details:  This is one of my favorite projects to date.  Bethany is so easy to work with and we have the same style.  She needed this fast, so I was able to get the logo and site up and running within 2 weeks!  I was pretty exhausted afterward, but I’m in love with the way it turned out.  She has a complete brand now and I’m so glad to be a part of it.  Bethany is a super talented baker and cookie designer, so check out her site!

Client: Peaches & Cream, food blog

Project: Blogger Blog Design

Description: My clients wanted a fun, simple blog design with light colors and clean lines.

In the Details:  The colors are so pretty on this blog and they do an awesome job keeping up and maintaining the look of their blog.  Their food looks amazing and really compliments the design.  I also love the fonts and the shading.  It adds a little flair!

Client: A Crafty B, Craft blog

Project: Blogger Blog Design

Description: My client wanted a simple design that was “crafty looking” yet modern.  She also wanted subtle, pastel colors.

In the Details:  I love this font…and I thought it looked more modern and sleek than most crafty fonts (aka boys are gross…don’t get me started) and I love beehives.  I actually didn’t create the beehive until the second draft and I’m glad that she asked for something different because I love the way it turned out.  This type of illustration is my favorite to draw and I really like the way the tree looks in gray.
